Fourth-grade teacher Alicia Lawson (left) was recognized as the FCPS Cares of the Month recipient for Region 1 at an informal ceremony with her nominator Tim Scesney (right), Vienna ES Principal John Carmichael, and Douglas Tyson, Assistant Superintendent of Region 1. 

Congratulations to fourth-grade teacher Alicia Lawson on being recognized as the December 2018 FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 1 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Lawson!

Below is the write up submitted by Mr. Tim Scesney, the school-based technology specialist at Freedom Hill Elementary. 

Ms. Lawson is a talented artist and caring professional. Ms. Lawson produces handmade knit scarves and hats. She recently donated two large boxes of items for our Community Resources Room to be donated those in need. These items are beautiful pieces of work and will positively impact the Freedom Hill community. Thank you, Ms. Lawson!
