On Thursday, November 7, 2019 the First Grade students at Vienna ES shared with Vienna Mayor Laurie DiRocco the results of their class election for the "nicest" book character.  Every student in Ms Forman's class, Ms. Gutowski's class, and Ms. Lynch's class made a poster show their favorite book character candidate.  Their choice was between Clifford the Big Red Dog, Froggie, and Curious George.  Mayor DiRocco watched the collection of campaign posters presentation the teachers of all 3 classes had put together and then "certified" the winner of the 4th annual first grade "NIcest Book Character" election as Clifford the Big Red Dog. After the presentation and election results The Mayor lead a discussion on the characteristics of a good leader with the entire first grade! Thanks Mayor DiRocco for visiting with us today!
