I am thrilled to be a part of each child’s education journey this year. It will be a year filled with fun, adventure, and lots of learning. I can't wait to learn about all our students, but first I’ll tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Missouri and I am the oldest of 3 girls. I graduated from the University of Missouri where I met my husband of 18 years. I have two sons, my oldest is in 10th grade and my youngest is in 8th grade. I also have a very spoiled cat named Ninja. We are a military family and Virginia is our 7th assignment. (Yes, I know we move A LOT). This is my fourth year at VES. In the past few years I was an IA in 1st grade, a special education IA for 3rd, 6th and 2nd. I have worked in the education community off and on for over 15 years. The “light bulb moment”, when you suddenly realize or understand something, is my motivation for working with students. I love animals, the beach, snowboarding, sports, reading, cooking, the color purple, and dark chocolate.
