Sarah Akers is the school psychologist at Vienna Elementary. She has been at VES since 2018 and she currently also supports Lake Anne Elementary. Previously, Sarah has served Marshall Road Elementary and Herndon Middle as well as two districts in Connecticut. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well of Master of Arts and Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology at James Madison University. She also has a post-graduate certification in School Neuropsychology. As a school psychologist, Sarah enjoys helping children thrive and reach their full potential by better understanding how they learn best and teaching strategies to build resilience. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and running.
