PTA Hallowingo
👻 Hallowingo is THIS Friday! Are you ready?! 👻
Get your costumes ready, Vienna ES families! Our festive Hallowingo event is happening THIS Friday, October 18th, in the school gym (enter through door 14)! 🎃
Important Reminder: Hallowingo is officially SOLD OUT! Check-in starts at 6:00 PM, and the bingo balls start rolling at 6:30 PM. Remember, you MUST have a ticket to enter—we won't be selling them at the door.
Dress up in your favorite school-appropriate costume and get ready for some fun! 🧛♀️ We'll have yummy light refreshments available for a small donation (QR Code or Cash accepted).
Even though the bingo is sold out, you can still get in on the fun! 50/50 raffle tickets are still available, and the winner will be announced at Hallowingo (but you don't have to be present to win!). Grab your raffle tickets.
See you there! 🦇

🤝 Building a More Inclusive VES Together 🤝
October is LGBTQIA+ History Month! We celebrate this month by recognizing and honoring the contributions of LGBTQIA+ individuals throughout history and in our present day. At Vienna Elementary School, we believe that every student, staff member, and family deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued for who they are. We are proud to embrace the diversity of our community and celebrate the integral role that LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and families play in enriching our school.
Thank you Mrs. Williams!
👏 Celebrating Our Interim Principal, Mrs. Williams! 👏
This Principal Appreciation Month, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Interim Principal, Mrs. Sharamaine Williams. Her commitment to our students, staff, and families has been extraordinary, especially since taking on the role at the beginning of the school year. Thank you, Mrs. Williams, for your exceptional leadership and support.
Impact Aid Survey
Instructions for the Impact Aid Survey through ParentVue will be mailed to all students. Each year, the enrolling parent/guardian needs to complete the Federal Impact Aid Survey which can be found in ParentVue under the Online Packets tab in the top right of the screen.
💙
Embrace Diversity 💙
Join us in recognizing Disability History and Awareness Month this October in Virginia. We believe that full inclusion of individuals with disabilities enriches our communities and strengthens us all. This month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a more accessible and equitable school where everyone can thrive.
No Fuss Fall Fundraiser
The PTA's annual No Fuss Fall Fundraiser kicks off this week!
Nothing to sell, nothing to buy – we just need you to help us reach our goal by donating and encouraging others to as well! Join the PTA, make a donation, and please share with grandparents, neighbors, co-workers and friends! Our goal is to raise $10,000 in donations by November 15th, all of which goes directly to support students, teachers, staff, and programs at VES. ⭐The class with the highest percentage of PTA memberships will receive a (parent donated) Amazon gift card to supplement the class wishlist. 🌟 If the $10k goal is met, ALL K-6 classes will receive additional recess time! Remember, we are a 501(c)(3) organization, so all donations are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.
Wings!
💙 🎶If I had wings I would fly...🎶 💙
All Madison seniors participate in the Mad WINGS program, a 30-hour volunteer career shadowing / community service opportunity at a senior’s choice of business or service organization in May of their senior year. This year, the Senior WINGS Experience dates are May 12 - May 28, 2025. We are seeking additional organizations to sponsor one or more seniors for their WINGS Experience. As parents, we know you have many contacts in the local community with businesses and organizations. More information can be found on the Madison website.
Please consider giving students an opportunity to career shadow at your business/community service organization and forward to anyone who may be interested in supporting. Sign up by completing this form by Thursday, October 31st.
