Katie Aiken began teaching art in 2012. She holds a bachelor’s of fine arts degree from James Madison University and a master’s degree in teaching from George Mason University. She grew up in Fairfax County and has taught in both Arlington County and Fairfax County. Katie aims to engage all students in the creative process. Her favorite types of art to teach are printmaking and weaving. Katie enjoys painting, practicing yoga, spending time with her husband, two young kids and dog, and traveling to new places.
