Enriching Programs for All Students
Vienna Elementary School offers a range of programs for all K-6 students, including Physical Education, Music, Art, Technology, and Library. Our volunteer-led Great Arts Program connects art history with hands-on learning to provide students with a deeper appreciation of the arts. Our grades 4-6 students can explore their interests through The Squad, Get 2 Green Team, Daily News Show, Band, Strings, and Chorus, Mural Team, Book Club, and Yearbook.
Vienna.i.Lab- STAY CURIOUS
In 2023, Vienna Elementary School launched a pilot program for a groundbreaking AI Lab. Stage 1 includes resources funded by the PTA. These are actively being used to enhance the Technology classes, helping all students become effective problem solvers. Community engagement is very important to us! Stage 2 involves building a world-class AI lab and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) space specifically designed for elementary school-aged children.
Strong Family Engagement
Our school has a robust Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) that sponsors annual events such as Bingo Night, Family Dance and Vienna Fun Run/5K fostering school spirit and community engagement. We intentionally embrace community engagement experiences throughout the school year so that our students and families feel connected to our school and to each other! We also offer family workshops and informational sessions to support diverse learners at home.
Commitment to Inclusivity
Vienna Elementary School promotes a nurturing environment and inclusive school community through various initiatives that celebrate equity and diversity for all learners, including culturally responsive teaching, peer mentoring programs, social-emotional learning initiatives, and anti-bullying campaigns. Our school’s mission emphasizes the importance of a safe and diverse environment, which is reflected in our positive Family Engagement Survey results.
Our Students Belong!
Vienna Elementary School is a proud participant in Madison Pyramid initiatives to include ONE school ONE Community ONE World, You Belong Here, and YOU Matter campaigns.
Modern Facilities and Resources
Our renovation in 2007 created new spaces for the library, cafeteria, stage, and the expansion of the front office. These facility updates enhanced the learning environment and set the tone for a more welcoming school climate!
Prepared for Future Success
Vienna Elementary School’s focus on preparing students for the future creates a strong foundation for success in academics and postsecondary careers. Our alumni include musician Sam Collings and Andrew Ashur, founder of a robotics company and member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 List.
